2015 - 16: FIRST Tech Challenge Res-Q
This year we decided that our goal would be to climb. Climbing to us meant the ability to be anywhere and go anywhere on the playing field.
In order to climb we had to be creative. So, we created our own wheels! These wheels were 1/2 disks and they looked similar to the moon (during some of it's phases). To score points in autonomous we dumbed climbers in the basket and then usually climbed to the mid zone. In tele-op we hit 2 triggers, dumbed the climbers if that has not already been done, we climbed and hanged and we could claim the all clear signal. The robots nickname was "K2" because of it's main purpose as a mountain climbing robot. |
