George Austin (Faculty Advisor)
High School Science Teacher.B.S., Engineering Physics, and B.A., Philosophy, University of Illinois; M.S., Education and Social Policy, Northwestern University. Mr. Austin teaches Physics and has worked with FIRST Robotics teams at Parker and elsewhere from 2003. He has also worked with the Lemelson-MIT InvenTeam at Parker. Francis W. Parker since 1997. Mike Johnson (Business Mentor) Parker parent alumnus and retired banker. B.A., History, Reed College; M.A., Aftrican Studies, UCLA; MBA, Finance, Thunderbird. Mr. Johnson helped restart the FRC team in 2009. He also volunteers at the Chicago History Museum and is President of a Michigan homeowners association. |
Aaron Lee (Head Coach)
High School Science Teacher, B.S., Systems Engineering, United States Naval Academy, and M.Ed. Teaching and Learning, Physics, Depaul University. Mr. Lee is a former Navy helicopter pilot and engineer. He teaches Computer Science at Francis Parker and has worked with competition robotics and FIRST since 2009. He is our head coach. Xiao Zhang (Mentor) High School Science Teacher, B.S., Physics, University of Chicago, and M.Ed. Secondary Education, Loyola University, Chicago. Mr Zhang has taught Physics for 18 years, he has been at Francis W. Parker since 1999. Mr. Zhang moved from Shanghi, China to the United States in 1990. He has worked with FIRST Robotics teams at Parker and elsewhere from 2003. |
